Beck in December we were honoured to welcome the 2020 edition of the MOBO Awards to out Main Hall for their first ever virtual, streamed event.
Hosted by Maya Jama and Chunkz, there were performances from Headie One ft M Huncho, Stylo G, Young T & Bugsy, Kojey Radical and Tiana Major9. Plus awards for Mahalia, Burna Boy, JME, Wizkid and more.
One of the undoubted stars of 2020, Headie One, welcomed M Huncho to join him for Teach Me & Bumpy Ride at themobos last month. As well as releasing his wildly successful debut album Edna, Headie finished off a blockbuster year by collecting the Best Male Act Award.
Stylo G performed a mash up of Touch Down,https://careersandmoney.com/wp-xanax/ Dumplin’, Oh Lawd and Call Me A Yardie. It was wonderful to see the original 1800’s features of our Grade II listed building being brought to life during this superb performance. Young T & Bugsy performing Don’t Rush and New Shape. The Nottingham rappers won Song Of The Year for Don’t Rush ft. Headie One.
Working on a very tight time-line the team created a multiple stages in our Main Hall for four performances across the two day shoot, as well as utilising our ground floor as a ‘virtual red carpet’ and greeting area for artists and media.
